EPDM Flat Roofing System
Waterproof & Resilient for 50 Years
Waterproof & Rot Free
If you’re tired of coping with fickle and failing felt on your flat roofed porch, garage, home extension or outbuildings, Alan Joy has the answer.
We have a team of trained technicians available in west Wiltshire to quickly and efficiently install EPDM rubber flat roofing to your low sloped or flat roof top that will keep it waterproof, moss free and looking good for decades.
EPDM stands for Ethylene propylene diene Monomer. That’s quite a mouthful, but simply means it is durable synthetic rubber sheeting made from engineered polymers. It is highly flexible, which means it can smoothly cover all sorts of imperfections and scars on the roof surface and mould to the edges of the roof structure.
Unlike traditional felt it won’t crack, split or tear no matter what the elements throw at it, and it remains totally waterproof, so there’ll be no leaks or moisture ingress to rot and warp the inner roof structure.

Eco-Friendly Roofing Material
EPDM is extremely eco-friendly roofing material. It’s one of the most sustainable roof materials available.
EPDM roofing is installed with a cold bonding process so no energy in the form of heating tools is used in attaching the sheets to the roof, and once it’s in place it provides excellent insulation. It is also non-polluting, so you can safely collect the rainwater run-off from the roof for re-use.
The non-slip properties of the smooth, finished EPDM surface makes this an ideal solution for surfacing walkways and balconies, too. You can even create a roof garden on top of the EPDM watertight surface.
EPDM roofing can be laid directly over old felt roofing, as long as it is clean, dust free and dry, making it a quick fix for an old roof.
Hardwearing textured surface.

EPDM Roof Installation
It’s a tricky business achieving the aesthetically perfect finish on an EPDM flat roof, which is why it’s a professional job that requires training.
Even though a properly installed EPDM roof is tough and resilient, it can suffer accidental damage, such as being punctured or torn by tree branches. If this happens another advantage of using this material for covering a flat roof is that it can be easily patched and repaired by an EPDM roof specialist.
We recommend regular roof inspections to make sure your EPDM roof stays in optimum condition. Sweep or hose off any loose dirt and debris that collects on the roof.
